Learn Better.

You don’t know what you don’t know.

There is a book or blog about, well, everything. The key is dedicating more time to read. And reading more does not mean sitting down with a book anymore. You can listen to audiobooks while driving or running. And if you are short on time, an in-depth interview or TedTalk by the author will let you know if it’s worth it.

Conversations with the most brilliant minds are now at our fingertips. We might not be able to be friends with these people but they have graciously given their time to podcasters to share their thoughts, feelings, and perspectives. Now more than ever, can we surround ourselves with the best and brightest. We just need to listen.

Learn more.

You can learn anything, just follow your curiosity. In this age of smartphones, use the unlimited resources we have in our pockets. Learning can be done by watching documentaries, Master Classes, and even cartoons. As long as we are paying attention, there is something to learn from everything.

“The only thing stronger than fear is curiosity.”

Tweak #1: Follow Your Curiosity or Your Heart

There is so much emphasis on finding your passion and that’s a ridiculous thing to ask someone who isn’t already doing so. It’s like asking a vision-impaired person to describe a colour or a hearing-impaired person to make the sound of an animal. Instead, just follow what you are interested you. Everyone likes something: food, fashion, TV, photography, old people, puppies. But not a lot of people take it to the next level of obsession. It is the art of always asking why and then following up again with endless “yeah, but why?”

Tweak #2: Start with you

If you don’t know where to start, start with you. If you haven’t done so already, take one of the many different personality tests that can quantifiably tell you why you are the way you are, what makes you tick, how to best deal with yourself. Learn about your family history, where you come from matters. Learn about the places your parents and grandparents grew in. Learn about how they lived in a time and land before the internet and on-demand food delivery.
