“the most important thing is to believe, that as one person, you can and are making a difference”
- Jin
This is everything that I have learned and lived by the last 14 laps around the sun. I want to make it easy for you to navigate the online presence of contradictory and often politically-fuelled, profit-driven, marketing-manipulated information to find the credible information and resources that you need. I want you to understand sustainability and how to live a responsible lifestyle.
Over these past couple of years, with the rise of eco this, no straw that, and vegan blahblahs, I have been the person my friends turn to for information.
giveacluck is all the resources, brands, organisations, books, documentaries, smart people, inspiring people, companies, and general information collected, sorted, and organised in a sensible manner. This is a brain drain of all the good stuff that I have come across in the last more-than-decade.
Please, take everything with a grain of salt, and go forth and do more research yourself.
Against all odds, the most important thing is to believe, that as one person, you can and are making a difference, despite what the naysayers are saying. Change is hard, and those that need to change the most will be the ones who fight against this the most.

Jin’s Three Simple Changes
A shortcut to the easiest things to change and for those who care, more details are below:
Eat whole-food, plant-based.
Eat as low on the food chain much as possible. Choose organic. And choose to eat from the region you are from. Start with one meal a day. Or buy only from regenerative farms. Or eat animals only on special occasions. There is no need to become a fanatic about it, it is much more about the intention behind the choice to avoid animal products as much as possible.
Invest in the right gear.
Over the years I have been able to narrow down a daily go bag and it only costs about $250 to save the planet. If you invest in the right gear, stay prepared, you can avoid one-time-use plastics at all costs. You also avoid the consumption of melted plastic in your takeaway coffee and food containers. And in my experience, you also save quite a bit of money as well.
Differentiate your needs vs wants.
This can get a bit philosophical or existential for some people because there are so many emotions and external values tied up in what you eat, what you wear, and what you buy. But when you can differentiate the difference between your needs (things for survival) versus your wants (i.e. to look older/younger/richer/better than you are), life becomes simpler, cheaper, and better for the planet.

Time to give a cluck.
