How to (get the most out of) Give a Cluck

You’re either a solutions or a problems orientated person. Go with what makes sense to you.

For me I am a problems person, I want to know anything and everything about the problem before I can choose the best solution.

You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”

- Jane Goodall

There are three ways to explore this website.

1. Pick a P.

If you are looking to get an indept understanding of the problems that plague this planet, choose which P resonates with you most. I am going to make a real ash of myself and ashsume that most people are self-serving and will be most inspired by the problems associated with personal wellness. After all, you need to put the oxygen mask on yourself first, before helping others. Noone gives a cluck the reason why anyone gets started with sustainability, the end goal is that more people make a small difference every day, with the intention to do and be better for the planet and for our own survival.

2. How To.

If you are looking for the how to’s of making those small differences, pick one of the five Better Solutions. I recommend for you to start with what you eat, it is so empowering to understand how your food is grown, who controls what you are eating, and deciding to change for yourself, but also helping the animals, the people who grow our food and the planet at the same time. After about a month of eating clean, the proof is in the pudding, you’ll feel so much better, it will be hard to go back to your SAD ways.

3. Resource-based.

All things lead to blog posts. Explore the different blog categories based on what you are looking to find.

  • More about Jin for my opinions and why I chose each battle

  • Find your Why for fact-based reasons, written from my perspective with links to easy to digest resources

  • Read · Listen · Learn for books, documentaries, and podcasts that you can educate yourself with.

  • Things to Support for organisations to follow and brands and companies to buy from.

  • Doom and Gloom for a deep-dive into specific problems

  • Scuttlebutt for misc. content

Why is it that scuba divers and surfers are some of the strongest advocates of ocean conservation? Because they’ve spent time in and around the ocean and they’ve personally seen the beauty, the fragility, and the even the degredation of our Planet’s blue heart.”

- Sylvia Earle

With all this darkness, you need some light. Here are some objectively cute fluffies to help anyone calm the cluck down.

Small Change = Big Difference.

Just start with one thing.
