Human-Caused Problems Simplified

There are only three problems. Ones that directly affect our Personal Wellness, another that affects the well-being of People on this planet, and another that affects the Planet itself.

What is bad or good for us will be respectively bad or good for the planet. There is a cost to everything that we use and consume. When you choose to focus on one, you are actually choosing all three. Now you just need to decide which one resonates with your soul the most, which one affects you directly the most, and which one you are willing to fight for.

These are topics that come down to personal wellness which includes health, fitness, mental health, growth mindset, what you put on your skin, and what you wear.

It’s people that make the planet go around. We might be connected online, but we have never been so disconnected from reality and from people ever. It is time to understand where things come from.

Planet.

Earth is the only planet made perfect for humans. We have air to breathe, water to drink, and everything in between. It’s time for us to understand how much space and resources we take up.

For Personal Wellbeing - Learn Better

Aristotle famously wrote, "The more you know, the more you realize you don't know." There is so much to learn about and now more than ever, it is just a click away. There are ways to earn your Masters online, at your own pace. There are ways to learn for the sake of curiosity. There are ways to learn the smallest thing you ever wanted to learn how to do from crafting to welding to how religion impacts the world. Everything we could possibly want to learn is in our pockets, we just need to be proactive and explore. And “when we know better, we do better” (Maya Angelou).

For the People - Buy Better

Outside of our large life purchases (car and home), when we add up everything that we buy from food to clothes to furniture to socks to electronics, this becomes the largest part of our lifetimes’ worth of spending. Everything adds up for us individually. It takes a toll on the people that produce the things we use every day - from those who grow our food to how it gets distributed to our supermarkets; from the cotton farmers to the factory workers; from the designers to the mom-and-pop shops who sell our goodies. Imagine empowering the little guys by buying from them instead of putting more money into the big corporations, purely for our own convenience.

For the Planet - Eat Better

There is a reason why vegan-ism is the fasting growing lifestyle movement to date. Everyone embarks on their whole-food-plant-based diet for different reasons but whether its personal health, for the wellness of those growing our food, or for the planet, this is an easy switch to make the biggest impact. The amount of land use for animal agriculture keeps growing, but you have to remember that it is not just the land for the animals, but for what is needed to feed the animals. The way that industrial meat is raised, in dense unhygienic poop piles, the toxins from this waste leaches into the land, into our groundwater, into the lakes and rivers, and eventually in the ocean.

“Yesterday I was clever so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise so I am changing myself.”

— Rumi
